Hi Everyone, I want to take a minute to shed some light on the contest and reasons behind why we're doing this.
First off, this isn't about looks for us. It's about opportunity. If you've read my "pitch" on Vita.mn's voting page, you'll see I really do want to make opportunities for everyone who has helped along the way and making new opportunities for us all. Jatin Setia and Bill Cooper gave me an amazing opportunity to mange operations for this years Twin Cities Film Fest at Showplace ICON Theatres and have already invited me back for next year. Please check out the page and like it if you haven't already. In it's second year, the fest grew tremendously and garnered some high praise from people like Tom Sizemore and Anton Yelchin. We want year three to contend with the likes of Tribecca and Sundance. We're closer than you may think to doing so!
I've also had great opportunities and help from people like Dann Saxton who fronts kill the complex, one of the top bands coming out of LA. 2012 is going to be huge for them. Check out their music. Don't forget to check out local charity The Official UnityShows Group! either.
There's been plenty of others as well, like The Film Society of Minneapolis-St. Paul that have hired me to manage projects. Also big thanks to Amber Anne Love (check out their music) for posting links to our contest and to anyone who has shared this. For no other reason than I love their beer and they've been sponsors of so many twin cities film projects, big thanks to Surly Brewing Company. Get Surly.
The point here is that I would love to find a way to capitalize on this publicity not just for myself but for all of you as well.
